Almost two years ago, after my second child was born, my husband and I chose a new preschool/daycare center in Ann Arbor, Mich., for our children. After the first few days of meeting several new families, I noticed that one of the dads was named Zach Miller. He looked familiar and I recognized the name, but then again, his name wasn't all that uncommon.

It wasn't until a few weeks later that Zach and I realized we graduated from Luther together in 1998. While at Luther, we often ran into one another at the Regent's Center since he was a runner, and I played on the basketball team. His twin daughters and my kids grew to be friends, so we were sorry to hear that they were leaving for Montana this spring after Zach finished his doctorate degree from the University of Michigan. This photo was taken at their going-away party earlier this spring.
